SNDK -WR Hambrecht says their recent channel checks regarding the Apple channel give them comfort that they should see a counter-seasonal demand driver for NAND flash in 1H07 due to the significant growth of NAND flash-based MP3 player phones in general and iPOD phones specifically. They believe that in 2007, they are likely to see north of 130 mln MP3 player phones, with Nokia alone driving north of 60 mln units. In addition, they expect Apple to launch its highly anticipated iPOD phones in January and are modeling an 11 mln unit build until July 2007. They believe a better NAND flash market in 2007 compared to 2006 is a positive for both SanDisk (SNDK) and Silicon Motion Technology (SIMO).
SNDK looks like it might finally do something here. Gapping up this morning. Other NR7s on my morning watch list RMBS and GES
