I am a newbie to day trading. Any chace you could discuss 2 losing trades I made today 3/20. The 1st was GILD. I entered at 73.30 on the 12th bar break of the OR high (15 minute chart). I was stopped out for a loss. 2nd was HERO. I entered on the 3rd bar break of the OR after a 2nd bar NR inside bar. I was stopped out for a loss also. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I had a dentist appointment this morning and could not respond to your comments. I did not trade either of those names today. I don't normally like to initiate a gapper trade before 10:15. As it turns out SYX fell on the open and took out the OR low too quickly and there was no low risk entry point. And LEND was a snooze fest.
There are some obvious newbie errors there. I will post the charts of GILD and HERO along with my analysis for you after I post my own trade of the day - ACAD - Encore from yesterday's gapper list, later this evening.
Economic Calendar for Tuesday - Housing Starts and Building Permits 8:30 EST.
