Today's Trades

Feeling under the weather. The charts are self explanatory but I'll try and update this post with commentary later this evening.

Jamie,
Sorry to hear. Get well! Hopefully you are better later.
I also caught TASR, on break of ORL on 10 min.(immed. switched to 15 min for my exit). A bit risky but paid off well(out at 2pm on WRB)! Feel better!

Thanks Bigfish,

Nice work on your TASR trade. Only a partial fill on mine. Maybe it was easier to get shares in the morning.

Couldn't borrow shares of TASR on IB. Who'd you use?

Thanks

Ferde,

I couldn't get shares through IB either, but I was able to get a partial fill through my Canadian broker.

Jamie,
Hope you recover soon!

CIEN: Did the 6th-6th bar prompt you to take partial at all? They mostly have long upper shadows.

Jamie,

Nice on TASR. I would have had trouble shorting in the vicinity of PPs/sup at ~17.50. I suppose the bear flag that you labeled was the sup/bounce before the breakdown.

I traded the small B&B at yesterday's high in AAPL - long at 144.17, sold at 144.95 at low of 10min IB. Missed ACI long around 32.25 due to limit order - filled the gap and then some.

Thanks Zen,

Yes, the 6th and 7th bars looked like a tweezer top reversal, I was watching it closely, ready to bail if price fell below $40.50 as the market was a little choppy.

Jim,

Nice work with AAPL. Can't believe how high it's going ahead of earnings on Wed. - it's priced beyond perfection. ACI also nice, too bad re: limit order.

TASR, originally planned to short the break of the flag but had to re-route my order. PP breaks usually set off vertical moves. If they work, the reward is nice. But when they don't break, they set up a reversal. Sometimes there's a fine line between a long and short.
