Dummy Base & Break - Hansen Natural Corporation (Public, NASDAQ:HANS)

HANS was a B&B at the intra day I took a partial as price consolidated above R1 and exited balance as price approached R2.

The 5 min. time frame below shows a low risk short following shooting star on 15 min. I love making the same money twice.

DO was an HCPG pick from last night's newsletter. I missed the actual breakout, but managed to get in on part of the move as price consolidated. Intra day pivots had been cleared by the time I entered.

TEX consolidation above R1 leading to a sprint to R2.
GRMN was a failed C&H pattern. I'm sure this one would have worked if not for Fed Speak by Mr. Poole. Every time he opens his mouth it's time to get out of the market.

Hey Jamie,

Nice bi-play in HANS. Yesterday's candle (daily) would have kept me at bay on the long side. Thus, I understand the short off of the 15' shooting star.

For today, I had DO & VRSN as potential longs and GRMN as a potential short - from WL dailies. Due to lack of time, I needed calmer action... traded TTEC (gapper) long. Lucky for me, the "casino" offered up a profit.

Jim,

LOL, congrats on the lucky bet. The casino paid off well today.

Focus list for tomorrow:
Long - AMAT, NTES, RIMM, LRCX, TXN, CPHD, CREE (check out the weekly chart for long-term B&B)
Reversal - GRMN, SIGM, (long-term PP support) STP - big up move EOD.
ACI might reverse on failed BO.

Jamie,

That is a great focus list.
AMAT - going thru 20.
NTES - consolidating gap up to take on long term PP of 21.20.
RIMM - consolidating gap up.
CPHD - a B&B at all time highs.
CREE - I see the LT chart. It may need to consolidate (form a tighter handle) here at the BO point. However, the intra-day looks strong.

Of your reversal candidates, I like STP. Three pushes down at the end of big down move (see on weekly or daily). Also, potential exhaustive (capitulation) gap on third push down. Now showing strength. Should close the daily gap soon.

Good LUCK with these guesses :)

Thanks Jim,

I'm guessing and keeping my fingers crossed that one of these might jump out at me at the casino tomorrow :)

HANS earnings tomorrow. Are you playing either side according to earnings?

Gunners,

I'll be watching to see how it trades leading into earnings tomorrow. If it inspires me ahead of the close I'll stick around. How about you?

Basing nicely today at the cusp of R1.
