Interesting that John's peace message is as valid and powerful now as it was 40 years ago. I would like to believe that we have made some progress in this area, but sometimes I have my doubts.
John's anniversary also coincides with the unfair arrest and imprisonment of journalist and former Black Panther Mumia Abu-Jamal (almost 30 years ago). And he still continues working from inside for the civil right movement. Yesterday, I saw an interesting documentary on TV about his life: "In Prision All My Life." You may want to check it out.
Thanks for posting the video Jamie!

Hey Anarco,

John's message will live forever. It seems to me that the Bush doctrine has set us back. Hopefully, President Obama can mend some fences.

Yes, I'm familiar with Abu-Jamal's story. It's incredible that after so many years they can't agree to release him. Thanks, I'll check out the documentary.
